    In the book, The Synchronicity War : Part 1 by Dietmar Arthur Wehr, power is shown in many different ways. For example, as the book has a very prevalent military and political theme to it, there are many positions of power in those categories of people making it quite clear. One example of a high position of power in the book would be the Oversight Committee. The Oversight Committee seems to be similar to our Department of Defense, as the Chief of Space Force Operations has to gain the approval of the Oversight Committee before making certain actions.  One quote to support this is "If you were the Chief of Space Operations, what would you recommend to the Oversight Committee?...". This quote shows that even high positions of powers, such as the head of the Space Force has to answer the Oversight Committee, and gain their approval. Oversight Committee also is shown to be powerful, because the only other group mentioned to have more power than them is the Grand Senate.
  Another group that seems to have a lot of power in this book are groups known as Committees. For example, "...While I appreciate the fact that this Committee has to make recommendations to the Grand Senate...". This quote shows that organizations known as Committees must have a highly valued opinion if they are capable of making suggestions to the Grand Senate, which is currently the most powerful governmental party at this point in the book. Furthermore, because in this scene of the book, a press conference between multiple Committees' representatives and many military figures is going on, representatives are able to question many different things about the plan being discussed which shows they have to be respected even by military officials. Another thing I found to be interesting was how different Committees have different levels of political power.
  One final thing I found to be interesting regarding how power is shown in my book is how the military fits into the governmental system compared to today. For example, the Space Force seems to have power equal to what we would consider to be a branch of the military today. Another fact I found to be interesting about the Space Force interesting the book is how they would act in contrast to the way our military would act. For example, "Now that Humanity was in a serious, and to Shiloh's mind, desperate situation, being a Space Force Commander was suddenly a whole lot more interesting." I found this fact to be important regarding governmental power, because previously to all of the event leading up to this, the Space Force was mainly used as a police, but they had to adjust to become a proper military as war was very possible. This was important, because in society today, we have our own separate forces for different uses that don't have to adjust depending on the circumstances.
